ANS1977E No files backed up during Scheduled backup

I am running TSM client 6.2.3 on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I can perform a manual TSM backup successfully but not a scheduled backup.

The server picks up the schedule and it appears to run but no files are backed up. I receive the following errors in the logs:

DSMERROR: ANS1977E Dsmcad schedule invocation was unsuccessful. This command will be tried again in 10 minutes.

I have checked the normal areas such as network connectivity, firewall ports, permissions, dsm.opt, TSM Scheduler service etc but can find no problems. I have a number of Windows 2003 servers on the same network and they are all working fine and backing up successfully. This only seems to affect the Windows 2008 servers.

Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this and how I can resolve it.

Remove all services, uninstall the client and install and configure again.
