ANR9999D_0521343731 and Could not determine media type , rc = 1

We have installed TSM 6.3 Server on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit server (make: Dell) where IBM Tape Storage 3584LTO has been connected. We have downloaded drivers IBMTape.x64_w08_6223.zip from IBM Site with passport advantage and installed the drivers and communication established.

But while taking backup , backup is failing wiht mount not possible error. In the TSM Console during backup we observed error :

ANR9999D_0521343731 and Could not determine media type , rc = 1 on googling the cause for this problem is wrong Drivers for the Library/ Drives. Microsoft drivers were installed for the IBM LTO Drive

Problem(Abstract)
When the data is being backed up to a Tape Library/Drive, the following error is received during a write operation:
ANR9999D_0521343731 NtpOpen(pvrntp.c:1296) Thread<36>: Could not determine media type, rc = 1

Symptom
The label and checkin functions of the TSM Server work fine without any issues.

Cause
Wrong Drivers for the Library / Drives. Microsoft drivers were installed for the IBM LTO Drive.

We are not knowing what are the correct drivers to install. Please guide.

Go into device manager, tape drives and check if the drives are IBM ULT3580 and not generic. Extract the drives to a folder, then in device manager, tape drives - update driver and browse to the tape driver folder and select. Let windows search the folder and find the correct driver and install.
Also your TSM side, have you setup the LTO device class etc
