ANR4299I Audit Container can not begin

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with damaged containers.
This is a targetserver, to do protect and repl from the sourceserver.
I want to do to: audit container pool1 action=removedamaged
Everytime i try, i get the followin error:

ANR4299I AUDIT CONTAINER: Internal extent repair process is currently running.
Audit command can not begin.

This internal extent repair process never stops.
I don't know how to cancel it, or if it is even possible.
I also found no option, to disable it completly.

Untill yesterday both servers was running on version 8.1.8.6 and i updated today to 8.1.9.
Sadly it did not change anything.
I hope someone can help me.

You should open a ticket with IBM to be on the safe side.

Hi,

here is the solution, if anyone else has the same problem, in the future.

To solve this issue could you please follow the below steps to disable the repair process :

• Add "RepairReconOrderThreads 0" to the server option file dsmserv.opt
• Restart the server
• Retry the audit as before with removedamage

This should solve the issue
