ANR2716E Error

The server I am working with is using MVS and the TSM server is Version 5, Release 1, Level 1.0. I have Solaris client loaded on it and I am getting The following error in the TSM server log.



ANR2716E Schedule prompter was not able to contact client SOLARIS6 using type 1 (172.19.100.57 1501).





Does 1501 in the error above represent a port number?? If so the problem may lie in the port because we are using port 1500.



If 1500 is in the client options and dsmserv options where did 1301 come from?



Anyone else ever encounter this?



TSM version 5.1.1.0

Running on Solaris 8 - TSM Client 5.1.0.0

Tcpclientport

Authorized User

The tcpclientport option specifies a different TCP/IP port number for the server to

contact than the one that was used to make the first server contact. If the default

port or the specified port is busy, the server attempts to use any available port. Use

this option only if you specify the prompted parameter with the schedmode option

or when the schedule command is running.

Supported Clients

This option is valid for all UNIX clients. The Tivoli Storage Manager client API

does not support this option.

Options File

Place this option in the client system options file (dsm.sys).

Syntax

++ TCPCLIENTPort client_port_address +-

Parameters

client_port_address

Specifies the TCP/IP port address you want the server to use to contact your

client node. The range of values is 1000 through 32767; the default is 1501.

Examples

Options file:

tcpclientp 1502

Command line:

-tcpclientport=1492

This option is valid only on the initial command line. It is not valid in

interactive mode.
