Hi

We have a SQL server that we have backed up running a full backup manually (usual way, sqlfull.cmd), when the first scheduled log file backup ran we get the following message in the Activity Log Details.

2012-10-04-04.08 ANR2579E Schedule SQL-LOG-0400-AM-M-T-W-T-F-S in domain VAULT for node NODE00007 failed (return code 1204). (SESSION: 6825)

We are only backing up two sql databases, not the entire server for the customer, their own backup software is backing up the other databases.

Can't find this error ANR2579E (return code 1204) on here, having a google about i find that 1204 refers to a SQL lock, or not being able to perform a lock.

Anybody help ?

Davros

I have the solution to your problem, the downside is in the objects option, there is the problem very likely misspelled missing some space or one of the characters of the judgment ... like my step, this is valid also for the code 1207.

On the TSM Server, you only get the final return code of the failed backups, you'll have to check the TDP SQL logs for more information on the errors, then use that in your searches. The Event Viewer may also have additional information if it's a SQL error, which based on https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa258769(v=sql.80).aspx, it looks like it is.
