Hi,

I have an issue with a node that is registered and backups up, but keeps showing the below alert.

ANR0422W Session 102077 for node <CLIENT_NAME.(IP Address(48416)) refused - node name not registered.

The node specified in the error is not backing up, it can't login as it's not registered. The node you have in the dsm.sys file you posted might be able to backup.

Go on the machine specified in the IP address in the error. Find all the copies of "dsm.sys" on that system, and find the one that has "CLIENT_NAME" (exact spelling as in the error) as the node_name. Then correct it.

Hi Marclant,,

The client was exported from Server1 to Server2. The client in Server 1 was decommed and it longer exists. It backs up well in Server2. But we are getting the warning from Server1, yet everything on sys file and opt file points to Server 2.

There must be another instance of the client running still pointing to server1 for those to be generated on server1.

Did you search the entire system for all versions of dsm.sys?
Did you check for other instances of dsmcad or dsmc sched running on the system?
Did you restart all the the dsmcad or dsmc sched after updating dsm.sys?
