just a short question, is it possible to authenticate via IAS when logging in TSM and if yes, what's needed for that?

thanks

TSM authentication is handled within TSM and doesn't have hooks or an API for using AD or an LDAP. (TSM 5.5 and below, haven't looked into it for 6.1) It'd be nice for TSM to use PAM for authentication.

Any updates to this? My best customer... the DBA ... would like to use active directory to control who can do what with TSM on their servers.

I heard TSM server 6.4 does AD/Kerberos logins but trying to find out more.

Thanks LED888, I hadn`t seen it. I was hoping for something simple to setup. I take it you dont use AD logins for TSM admins ?

Has anyone configure TSM 6.3.x/AIX integrated with Active Directory using LDAP.

PLease let me know . we wanted to configure and also opened PMR , but IBM respounse is so bad , they are asking me to follow the steps not helping out much if there errors, I wanted to know if it really works or not.
