Hello, I have a small group of tapes that are only partially used but they are set to RO. I have tried to manually change them to RW and I have ejected them from the library and then put them back in after the change but they go right back to RO. Is there a fix for this ? I hate to waste the space on these tapes. Thank you

If Spectrum Protect encounters an I/O error while reading or writing to a private tape, it will change the access to ReadOnly to prevent writing additional data to it until you investigate and resolve the issue.
Check the Spectrum Protect server activity log at the time the tape was changed to read-only, there should be an I/O error of some above that.
