Win2k3 supported with version 8.1.8 ?

Hi,

We are looking to upgrade our SP server and SP for VE proxies to version 8.1.8 but I can't find any information on the IBM website as to whether the proxies will continue to backup VMs that are still running Windows 2003. I can find info on the backup/archive client, and for which version of Windows is supported for the proxy.

Has anyone else already performed this upgrade or can point me to a document showing compatibility?

It should work fine. Using VMs to run antiquated operating systems is a good way to get them backed up.

If you're already running a supported version (7.1.0 or higher), 2003 wasn't already an unsupported OS then, so if it works now, it will work at 8.1.8 and later.
