Hello specialists,

I have a strange problem...and i didn't see these any time before....

I'm backing-up a direcktory with files and subdirs using a nightly schedule. Let me say, the directory is named:
x:\academy\01_general\05_protocols\06_protocols_speechcourses\02_marketing\protocols 2018\

When I start the BA-Client (v7.1.2.3) for normal restore then I can select the above shown directory and all files for a restore.... that's not the problem.

BUT.....when I wish to do a PIT-restore (for instance, back to 2019-01-04 06:00:00) then the whole directory (including it's contents !) isn't shown and therefore not selectable !!???

Can anyone tell me, why this can happen and what the reason could be ??? I have absolutely no doubt......

Thank you very much !
Hubert

That's normal. For a PIT, it's better to use the command line.

What happens is if the directory is expired, but the file isn't. When you do a PIT with the GUI, the directory doesn't show because it was expired at that date, even if the file is not yet expired.

If you restore from a command line, it will still restore that file even if the directory is expired. I will create the directory with default permissions because Spectrum Protect knows in which directory it is, then it will restore the file in it.
