If you've backed up a machine with many drives (say 50, 350, 20, 100, 100, 50, 100 GB), and you restore to new virtual hardware, you create a machine with the same drive sizes, how does TSM decide which physical drive to use for each Windows disk? How can we be sure it won't take one of the drives that was 100GB and try to restore it to the 50GB drive? When you restore the system state it seems to make that decision for you.
My guess is that it uses either SCSI IDs, or the 'Disk No', does anyone know for sure?
