We have recently imported some filesystem nodes and Vm's and sync with source node completed. Now if we check occupancy and number of files in source and target server, in target server the occupancy and number of files is huge that source server. We are using TSM server version 7.1.6. We tried with forcereconcile options also, but even then the occ and file is not decreased. IBM support told to upgrade to 8.1, since there was some bug in current version. Does anyone of them faced similar issues before.

It's either going to be dissimilar policies (target side greater retention settings over the source retention settings), or a bug. I've had 2 customers with this issue, one was dissimilar policies, and the other was dissimilar policies with a bug :)

Thanks bigred for you reply. But we haven't enabled dissimilar policies. May be because of bug, we soon have planned to upgrade the TSM server. Will see how is works.
