I found a permission S in my GPFS file system. What does that mean?
Why the file high light in yellow color? Is it because S permission?
If I change mode to 666, the high light disappear.

Going from memory here as the 'S' is for the Set Group ID upon execution. The file runs as if it were a member of the same group in which the file is a member of. It looks like the permissions are set as 2745 for rwxr-Sr-x Read & write & execute - read only - read & execute.

*Hope the above is correct, it has been a while since I worked with SGID's.

Can't say I know anything about GPFS. However, I'd be cautious before changing it to some other permissions without first understanding why those files are going to be executed with the Set Group ID.
