Tape status

How can a tape be 100% utilized and still has a status of scratch?
I should run an audit on this volume.

Run 'audit library <library_name> checkl=barcode' and see if this changes.

What is the TSM Server that you are running? If memory servers me right, there was a version that had some issues as what you are seeing. I cannot recall what version that was. A Google search might come up with this.
