All
so I have 3 servers all at 7.1.6
2 (server 1 and server2) at local site and 1 at DR site (server3).
We run both server side deduplication and some node replication.
I have lots of space at DR site so would like to create a container pool.
Is it supported to replicate nodes from server 1 of pool type File to server 3 with pool of type container?
Any caveats?

Eventually Server1 and 2 will have container pools.
Thanks for your help

Is it supported to replicate nodes from server 1 of pool type File to server 3 with pool of type container?
You can replicate data that is stored in any type of storage pool, and for all nodes or only selected nodes. You can control replication by type of client node data:
  • Active and inactive backup data together, or only active backup data
  • Archive data
  • Data that was migrated to a source server by IBM Spectrum Protect™ for Space Management clients
When you replicate data in directory-container storage pools, use storage pool protection to improve the efficiency of the replication process, and to enable repair of data. When you use the Operations Center to set up your storage pools, schedules for protection are automatically defined to coordinate with the replication schedule.

Any caveats?
Make sure you understand certain limitations of container pools.

Eventually Server1 and 2 will have container pools.
It will run more efficiently once you get there, but it will work with your current config too.
