Guys I made a small goof up that cost me about 500GB of disk/tape space. I added a new drive to a Win2K12 Exchange server the other day and moved an Exchange database to it. But, I forgot to exclude the new drive in my dsm.opt file so of course the client cheerfully backed up about 500GB of data from this drive.

When I was what happened, I killed the session and fixed the dsm.opt file. Now, how do I delete this erroneous file from the backups - so I'm wasting half terabyte of disk space???

thanks...

On the tsm server upd node XXXXXX backdel=yes

On the node: dsmc del backup c:\path\* -subdir=yes

Lookup dsmc del backup command to be sure. It has a few more parameters that I do not recall right now.
