Hi

I'd like to ask some help...

I installed TSM 6.2.3 client and tdpexc 6.1.3.2 on server 2012 & exchange 2016.
The .smo file was renamed to .opt. Node is being registered....

I'd like to start the tdpexc gui , but don't run,, nothing happened.
I checked the eventviewer and found this error:
https://adsm.org/forum/index.php?forums/backup-archive-discussion.8/create-thread

When i wanted to quersy tsm server with tdpexcc i got error message:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)

DSM.exe works well!

What could be the problem?
Will this tdpexc version work with exchange 2016?

Thank you!

Looks like I got some bad news.

The support for MS Exchange 2016 was not added until TSM for Mail - MS Exchange 7.1.4.2

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail: Data Protection for Microsoft Exchange Server V7.1 Documentation Updates

Not sure if you are aware of this or not.
The support for TSM For Mail 6.1 ended on April 30, 2014 .

End of Support for IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for 5.5 & 6.1 products

Good Luck,
Sias

Thank you for your help!
I think i should download the 7.1.4.2...i if could!

Before you upgrade the TDP to 7.1.4.2.
Your going to need the TDP base code 7.1.0.0, and its only available via Passport Advantage.
The base code contains the license file.

The supported Windows are:

64-bit Windows Server 2008 SP2, and later maintenance levels: Standard x64, Enterprise x64, or Datacenter x64, editions

64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, and later maintenance levels: Standard x64, Enterprise x64, or Datacenter x64, editions

64-bit Windows Server 2012, and later maintenance levels: Standard or Datacenter editions

64-bit Windows Server 2012 R2, and later maintenance levels: Standard or Datacenter editions

Good Luck,
Sias

Thank you!
I think we have license for 7.1.
I downloaded 7.1.4 and installed. But i get error, when i start FCM.

"mmc could not create the snap-in"

Could the root cause be the licence error or just register the services?

HI!
Thank ypou for the link!
I have solved the mmc problem, but now in fcm window, when the wizard started, i get :
Select the type the protection you would like to install or configure:
SQL
Exchange
Filesystem

its status is under processing.... but these disappeared after 5-6 second.

Could be the problem with our license?
