Hi
We are planning to set up HA on DB2 database at database level. That means configuring a different host as DB2 database sever in different datacenter and set up HA at DB2 layer.
Host A already running DB2 backups and log archives to TSM server
Host B is a new host just installed with DB2 and configured HA with HOST A and HOST B
To meet backup requirement at HA level
define HOST B on TSM sever
define proxy node with database instance name per say db2inst on TSM sever
define proxy with db2inst as target and HOST A and HOST B as agents
Now what happens to the db2 backups and archive logs already taken on the name HOST A from HOST A in a standalone configuration? Can these be restored with old dsm.sys and dsm.opt by setting up DSMI_CONFIG appropriately? And also DB2 instance needs to recycled every time DSMI_CONFIG is updated on userprofile file?
Please share your thoughts.
Thanks
