DateTime modification NSF file opened by Lotus Notes

Hi,

I want to backup the Lotus Notes archives (nsf files archived locally in HDD of users) with IBM TSM. the problem each time the users open these files by Lotus Notes without changing the content, the last modification time of this nsf file change automatically and thereafter TSM backup another version of nsf file.

Can you please help me to solve this problem.

My question is why each time the user open an archive by lotus note (nsf file saved locally on HDD user) the last modification date of the file change automatically, even if the user does not touch the mails on this nsf file (just read mails).

TSM is doing the right thing though, if the modified date changed, the file changed (even if the content did not), so it backs it up.
