Hi,

We recently updated our TSM library and drives because of parts replacement on our Quantum i6000 Tape Library. All volumes are still inside the library.

We checked in the LTO5 and LTO6 volumes in their respective logical libraries but during restoration of data, we found out that not all volumes were checked in.

Command used:

checkin libv <libname> search=yes status=private checklabel=barcode waitt=0

The command ran successfully. Most of the volumes where checked in.

Thanks,

Eibbob

Check the activity log during that time period for errors or warnings during the checkin. You can do a search for some of the volumes that did not get checked in:
q ac search=123456L5 begindate=mm/dd/yyyy

Also check the status and access of the volume(s):
q volume 123456L5 f=d

hi,

Thanks for the tip. We will follow this the next time we swing back to the primary node. Forgot to mention that TSM Server for Linux is running on a cluster, using Tivoli System Automation.

Thanks again.
