Question on replacing physical storage

Hi,

I'm new to tsm, and my question probably not a smart one. Please for give me.

Current all my tsm server related directories, DB, and primary disk pool are on this old storage

What is the proper steps or anything I need to be aware of or to do before I replacing the physical storage with storage level migration.

by the way, my tsm server is running on Linux platform

Can anyone give some advises? Please help,

You did not mention your TSM version.

For the DB and LOG volumes, I would do a backup and restore move: backup the DB, define new DB and LOG volumes on the new storage, and restore.

For the disk pool, I would empty the disk pool (I am assuming you are running a tape environment; again, you did not give details), delete the pool, and redefine on the new storage.
