Greetings,
due to the need of backing up a Windows server through a slow link I am investingating the possibility of performing Adaptive Subfile backups.
An IBM document dated 2005 says that the max file size for subfile backups is 2 GB. Is this still valid? In this case the subfile option would be useless to me.
Furthermore, the BA client user guide says that "the subfilebackup option does not work correctly for migrated files. If you use a combination of subfilebackup and non-subfilebackup for migrated files, your data might be corrupted on the server." This is an obscure, yet very disturbing, statement. What does it mean exactly?
I did a search on this forum, but it seems that all questions about adaptive subfile backup remained unanswered.
Is anybody using this option? Can he report his/her experience?
Thanks,
Lucio
