Installing Domino TDP in Virtual environment

I am preparing to install the Domino TDP on a Notes Traveller server which is a vm. Do I still need to install the BA client considering the the server will be backed up by TSM VE?

I believe so as the API comes with the BA client. You won't have to configure the client to do backups though.
