Hello.
I get a overall compression factor of 10:0x. Which I'm very much thinking is not common at all. We run Spectrum Protect on Windows with DD4500s.
We also have extensive monthly backups (and yearly) that do not expire (legal requirements) and go back about 10 years. We have a lot of NDMP backups that also fall in this category. This kind of explains our compression ratios.
We are currently looking at EMC Elastic Cloud Tiering to siphon data out of our DD's and curtail the escalating cost.
Was wondering what typical ratios our DD users out there are getting?
Regards
RS
