Hi there,
due to problems with the TSM journal I searched the web for a utility to check this database.
I found then a utility "dbviewb_611.exe"...
When I now place this utility, the tsmjbbd.ini, the dsm.opt and the two journal-files together in one directory and start this utility, I get only the following message displayed:
Tivoli Storage Manager
Journal Database Viewing Utility
Version 6, Release 1, Level 1.0 0
Last Update: Jan 28 2010
Reading control record for database 'E:\Journal\tsmE__.jdb.
jbbdb' ...
Error 224 opening or reading database.
I did already all steps as mentioned here:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21248994
IBM seems also have no idea....the only solution I got from there was:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this is xxxxx yyyyy with Tivoli Storage Manager Level II support and I
will assist you with the subject PMR.
.
If I look up error 224 I get the following explanation by Microsoft:
.
net helpmsg 224
