Install Administration Center on laptop

I am trying to install the Admin Center on a stand alone laptop. Is that possible or do I have to put it on a server? I have windows 7 32 bit and have tried compatibility settings for 2003 and 2009 server. I do not want to install the server component just the admin center.

It does - read carefully - the Admin Center goes with the ISC and can be part or separate from the TSM server.

But you can try it. Before install disable UAC, set fixed ip and add record to hosts.

Yes - unsupported - but I have installed two Admin center and ISC on a Windows 7 Professional laptop without issues. I have not tried to install it on the Home Preminum version.

The other point asked: if can be by itself or needs the server. That is my answer of YES.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I installed the 6.2 version ok. Haven't had time to see if I can connect to my TSM servers yet.
