We upgraded a few weeks ago..
The only issue I’ve seen so far (that I remember) has been that the policies are a little more twitchy about host names (fully qualified vs short).
I’ve had some (Oracle agents) where the client in the policy was “client.domain.tld”, and the installed config hostname was just “client”.
It took me a little while to hunt that one down, but after changing things to make them consistent, it flushed out the problems.
I want to think I also had to rearchitect my EV policies to split them up, but that might have been because I upgraded to EV9.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Upgrade to 7.5 - Any known issues
Morning All,
We’re currently running 7.0.1 on four master servers, two AIX and two Windows 2008 R2 with an array of Windows, AIX, VMWare servers (windows 2003 x32/windows 2008 x64/AIX 5.1/6.1) being backed up
to VTL.
We use Exchange, Oracle, DB2, SQL, SAP and EV agents.
We’re thinking of upgrading to 7.5, only released I know, but we usually wait for the first Maintenance Pack so it has time to bed in.
Just wondering if anyone has upgraded to 7.5 and if there have been any issues or gotchas, especially with relation to the kind of environment I mention above ?
I’ve had a look around but couldn’t find any great detail and our test server upgraded without issue but I haven’t had the chance to test our db agents yet.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Kevin
