Ron,
I believe that's the first question the upgrade will ask, ' Do you want to
remove this package? ' The second question will be 'Are you doing this pkgrm
as a step in an upgrade processes.'
Here are some notes from an upgrade I did on my system.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] 6.0 -> 6.5 upgrade anomaly
All,
At the "pkgrm VRTSnetbp" setp, upgrade instructions indicate we should
see an "is this part of an upgrade?" prompt, but we're not. The
package removal is going straight "Do you want to remove..."
Anyone seen this? Any advice?
Thanks,
Ron
