On one of my media servers I've noticed on occasion after restart that not all 
of the MM services that should be shown by "bpps -m" have started.  This 
usually happens if something is already queued for the media server (or queued 
just as it starts up).   Like you I've found stopping and restarting NBU has 
made it work.

You might want to verify all the processes are running before you queue up 
anything.

Dear all,

Last week I have upgraded my  Master/media Server from 7.0 to 7.1.

We are on Veritas Netbackup 7.1 OS = Redhat 5.3, LTO-4(Fiber Channel)

What I have noticed that my scheduled backup's are working fine.
But when ever I am trying to do Backup/Restore manually. The process goes
for a while in Queue..... some time more than 5-10 minutes. Where my two
LTO-4 Drives are Ideal and ready to serve.

Once I have restarted the Netbackup Services It works fine,

May I know If some one has encounter this issue. What could be the reason
to Start/Restore process to go in Queue for a long time ?
