Hi Ray
Unfortunately another monitoring solution is not an option as SCOM has been choosen as the company monitoring tool.

I wish I could say this is going to be easy. It will not be
I suggest you go with a different solution. Using Tivoli Storage Manager?
Create a rule to collect all SNMP traps as informational alerts. I created one for our custom SNMP string and one for our public string.
Setup your SCOM RMS to accept SNMP traps
Restarting your server should kickstart the trap receiver service. Once you do that you should see the traps show in Active Alerts. They will be ridiculously vague.
You will have to create a rule for each OID you want to be alerted on.
Download and install MIB Browser, load the 3584 MIBS, expand the MIBs Traps section. You will have to create rule to process all of these traps. No two ways about it, this is going to take you a very long time.
