We have purchased 2 x T950 and 2 x T120 from Spectra replacing our L180's, 
L700's and PowderHorn.

We had our issues with Spectra but this was due to IBM LTO-5's, not due to the 
robots themselves.  Now these issues seem cleared.
After 5-6 months, I have to say that the decision to go for Spectra was a good 
one.

In the end IBM, Quantum and Spectra were the only vendors left that were any 
good (HP and SUN fell of quite fast)
We choose for Spectra (although it was the more expensive one) for the reason 
that their robots are far more technologically advanced than the others.  And 
also because of the (very) small footprint and low power consumption (important 
during these "Green IT" days).

The installation of the T950's was fast and without any issue.  The T120's are 
not yet installed.

There support is also good.

Hello All,

I have the opportunity to take on the project of replacing our old Storagetek 
L700. The time has come to make a choice either T200 Spectralogic library  or 
Quantum I500. I have been looking at everything as far as all the 
features/options. I just haven't talk to anyone using any of these in other 
shops.  Vendors always want to visit and talk with their happy clients. Just 
looking forward to  get a general idea on everyone's experiences with these 
products.
