Below is a summary of 7.1 content to help you determine upgrade
priority.

New features in NetBackup 7.1 include:
Auto Image Replication - The ability to automatically manage the
replication of a deduplicated backup image from one NetBackup master
server domain to another. Enables fast and scalable DR because backup
images are available for immediate recovery from any domain or global
location, with minimized storage footprint and bandwidth impact.
VMWare Integration - Linux Single FileRestore - Instantly restore single
files and folders from a VM backup image (VMDK) of a Linux-based system.
Inline with the backup process, NetBackup sees all individual files
within that VM image. Like the same patent-pending feature for Windows,
NetBackup can instantly search for files and folders and recover from
any storage target (disk, dedupe, VTL, tape). In addition, no additional
disk storage is required for restaging. Applies to both RedHat and SUSE
Linux.

VMWare Integration - VM Intelligent Policy(VIP) - Automatically discover
and protect new or moved virtual machines without changing your backup
policy. Define simple and flexible rules to automatically select VMs
based upon numerous attributes, like: display name, host name, folder,
cluster, data store, etc. Is compatible with vMotion, Storage vMotion,
and DRS.
Improved Reporting - Enhanced OpsCenter reporting to around capacity
licensing, policies and DR:
* Easily generate reports to show the amount of Front End Terabyte
(FETB) on the hostfile system for licensing purposes
* Comprehensive, end-to-end visibility of Storage Lifecycle
Policies (SLP), and the new AutoImage Replication feature to aid in
tracking and troubleshooting
* AnalyzeNetBackup workloads across your entire enterprise by:
o Count of jobs , count of queued jobs, size of Jobs, throughput
o Drill down by Master Server, Media Server or Client
Enhanced Audit Trails - Enhance security by being able to track who made
what changes, when the changes were made, and the types operations were
changed in a NetBackup environment centrally from OpsCenter (AuditTrail
reports also available).
LiveUpdate Client Upgrade - Upgrade existing 6.5.x/7.0.x NetBackup
clients to 7.1 NetBackup Clients using the NetBackup LiveUpdate process.

New Proliferations in NetBackup 7.1 include:
BMR support for SFW5 for Windows
Media Server dedupe to HP-UX
BMR client support for HP-UX 11 v3 (11.31) IA-64 - Phase II

You can no longer download from the ftp site - you have to use
FileConnect.
I believe that the GA announcement was a bit premature though, and that
the downloads will only be available later this week.

Will follow up with URL's as soon as I'm online again.
