I get that.

But it does not seem to hold true all the time.

I have Full MPX tapes
And I also have tapes that just say MPX - but not Active MPX


So if my MPX tapes are not full, why don't that also say Active.

I have basically just gone with are the full or not are they MPX or not.

As to Nate,
Non-active tapes are just tapes with images like the rest and when the image 
expires it should.

Are you talking about the "Active" media status? (where other statuses are 
Full, Frozen, etc.)

How I understand it, it is that there's still room left on the tape to use and 
that it's usable. It doesn't matter whether they are in your library.

I guess I'm confused as to why inactive media would be expiring. Still not 
understanding what it means to be active or inactive.
