I don't know that it matters they're NATted.   Can you access them via
the NATted IPs from your Master server?  If not are there any other IPs
you can?  So long as you your master connects to the host it seems it
would back it up.  The only issue I know of would be if you had a host
name resolution that was providing IPs other than the ones you are
using.

You may not need to sue the NATted IPs though.   Typically when you
firewall a host you're putting it in your DMZ so would have an outward
facing IP (the NATted one the world sees) and an inward facing one (on
another firewall).  You should have the Network admins open the ports on
the inward facing one between to/from your master (e.g. bpcd).  You
should then be able to back up by using that inward facing IP - you
might want to set a separate hostname for it though (e.g. if the outward
one is client.example.com you might want to set your internal DNS to
find the inward facing IP as client.dmz.example.com - or you could set
client.example.com in the hosts file of your master with the inward
facing IP and insure your nsswitch conf on master uses files before
dns..

behind a NAT firewall. I'm being asked to back all of them up. I've
done some Google searches on backing up across NAT, and I'm a little
confused about exactly how to do it.
