This is a problem when you using the wizard with only one media server that
does not have connectivity.

You can do one of the following:
A) run a configuration wizard, selecting all 3 media servers together.
B) configure the robotic to the media server "by hand" (go to devices and
select new robot) and then run the wizard.
C) zone the robot controller with the media server.

Does this Media Server see the "Robot" and drives as well at the OS
Level?
You mention only drives, but no mention of robot.

The Media Server needs to see the Robot as well as the drives. On the
SL500, there is no configuration needed, as I simply present the hosts
that need to see it on the Fabric.

Then I run device manager and see medium changer and drives.

Hi Forum,

My backup environment has 6.5.3 Master ---> controls robot.
2 Media Server 6.5.3 ----> controls drives.

Tape Library is SL500 with 16 Drives, 8 on each media server.

Now the problem is 1 of the media server is showing all 8 drives on OS
level when check through sgscan etc. But when i do device configuratin
from NB GUI it shows me the drives as standalone. It is not coming under
robot control.

Whereas the other medias server is working fine.

When i manually add the drives through tpconfig it is accepting it and
coming under robot control.

Can you suggest/advice me as to where the problem is and what i can do
to prevent this.
