Hi Sachin,

As with most posters you don’t mention what version of NetBackup, so I will assume 6.5.x. Have you tried bptestbpcd –client <client> from the master and media servers? Have you run bpclntcmd –pn on the client? Have you run bpclntcmd –hn <[master|media]> from the client? Have you run bpclntcmd –ip <[master|media]> from the client?

I m trying to configure a new server into backup rotation, however , backup is failing

master server : mc0300ux214

Media server : USA0300UX237

New server : usa0300ux708

Error :

What I checked :

1) Host entry on client and media server are ok

2) Telnet is working fine

Im new to netbackup , please help me how to tackle this issue.
