I have no idea what 'they' are trying to accomplish with the info
they've asked for.
There are two places to check why drives are being down'ed. The 1st one
is the bptm log on the media server. The 2nd one is /var/adm/messages,
but ONLY if media manager daemons are running in VERBOSE mode. To do
this, add a new line in /usr/openv/volmgr/vm.conf, put VERBOSE on this
line. Stop/start NetBackup.
After a drive has gone down, look for DOWN in bptm log as well as lines
that contain <16>. Search for DOWN in /var/adm/messages.

We are running NB 5.1 on Solaris. There is some issue with the drive
which goes offline every week. To resolve that issue case was logged
with SUN support, they think its the configuration issue on Netbackup
rather than hardware issue. For that they have asked for some logs.
I am absolutely new to NB and dont know how to get the logs.
Here is what they have asked for:
Please check the Activity monitor, you should have a line similar to
this one:
<date> <time> - requesting resource
<name>.NBU_POLICY.MAXJOBS.test_exit_nn
The "test_exit_nn" part is the one I am interested in. Please run the
following command:
# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpplist test_exit_nn -U
There will be a line called "Residence: <unit>", I need you to run the
following command:
# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpstulist -label <unit> -U
