Before I answers this, can you goto the Main Administration console, goto Bare
Metal Restore Management, then Hosts, then BARE METAL RESTORE CLIENTS.
Fine the client. On the right hand side of the window, you should see 3 colums,
that read:
Name
type
Time
As I take it, the last time BMR ran, would be the recovery point BMR used. ie:
If you did a full on 14th October 2009 at 10:00am, then it should use the FULL
BMR taken 14th October 09.
When you do a BMR, are you restoring the ENTIRE Server or just the OS?

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Bare Metal Restore Problem
Dear all,
As I have posted before, I have a BMR Point in Time problem and to make it
simpler, I post it again with simpler question.
Suppose I have 3 FULL BMR backups:
- FULL BMR Backup A
- FULL BMR Backup B
- FULL BMR Backup C
Then, I want to BMR restore to "B", does the BMR restore always check/go back
to "A" first or also check/go forward to "C" as well?
(Consider that "B" itself is a FULL BMR backup).
My problem is, when I prepare to restore using "B", the BMR restore always
check/go back to "A" first and then "B".
Could somebody please explain this to me?
Thanks in advance.
