Data Manager is has been designed from the ground up to address the strict federal guidelines pertaining to the retention of data during e-discovery procedures in your NetBackup environment.
There
are times when you need to alter the retention of your backed up data
to support the requirements set out by your business:
- your
company may be the subject of a subpoena, e-Discovery request or legal
hold that’s mandated by the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP)
- or your organization just needs improved granular control previously backed up data to serve business driven goals
Introducing the Data Manager™ Service by General System Dynamics
With
Data Manager you can gain total control of your backed up data and
manage it according to your specific business requirements. Data
Manager interfaces with your backup application (e.g. NetBackup,
NetWorker, TSM) and provides you with a easy to navigate web interface
to manage your data.
Data
Manager was designed to be used by anyone with approved access in your
organization to preserve data specific to your needs. Attorneys, with
appropriate access, can preserve data required for electronic
discovery. Backup & Storage Administrators can preserve data
without having to search through cumbersome and complex interfaces nor
have to execute commands at the command line.
Data
under discovery can be managed and classified by specific legal
matters. Data Manager provides comprehensive reporting for all data
under discovery including financial impact analysis, media under hold,
over-exposed data and a myriad of other reporting options.
