Steve,
Yes this was a problem, but it was along time ago with a earlier firmware version of the library controller.
If your FRS build version is 3.98b (4.42.92) you shouldn't be seeing this issue.

PS: I still see this on occasion but it's only when the CAPs are in use beyond the timeout values mentioned on an earlier e-mail thread is this forum.

Ooops used wrong email first time..
From: Hudson, Steve Sent: Thursday, June 25, 2009 2:04 PM To: veritas-bu-request AT mailman.eng.auburn DOT edu Subject: SL8500's and ACSLS and Caps
We have 2 SL8500's and we are running ACSLS 7.1 . We have been seeing for quite some time now the Cap on the SL8500 locking up and it can only be "unlocked" by using the ACSLS vary off/on command with the Force option. This happens intermittently during Ejects and also Injects.. Now we use a home grown script to do the Ejects so the script could be part of the cause but on Injects neither a Script or any Netbackup commands are used so it is purely an SL8500/ACSLS issue. For those of you running Netbackup 6.5.x with ACSLS 7.1 and SL8500's have you seen any behavior like this?? Are we the only ACSLS shop seeing these types of locks with the SL8500's ??? Thanks in advance for any input you guru's can provide..
