Hi All,
I have am
having issues backing up a SQL 2008 cluster and wondered if anyone could help.
My NetBackup
environment consists of one Solaris 9 master server and two Solaris 9 media
servers all running NetBackup 6.5.3.1; the client is a Windows 2003 cluster
with two nodes both running NetBackup 6.5.3.1.
I have
configured the SQL agent as I have for other SQL clusters I back up (admittedly
not SQL2008) but I keep getting status code 2 failures when the backup is ran
from the NetBackup schedule.
The following
is also present in the dbclient log on the active node following an
unsuccessful backup:
18:52:29.556
[6132.4844] <1> CGlobalInformation::CreateDSN:
CONTINUATION: - Component not found in the registry
18:52:29.556
[6132.4844] <16> CDBbackmain::LoadUserLogin: ERR - Internal error. See
the dbclient log for more information.
18:52:29.556 [6132.4844]
<32> CDBbackmain::LoadUserLogin: ERR - Error 1 has been returned from
GetCurrentDSN
If I run the
backup script manually from the NetBackup Database Extension – GUI the
backup is successful.
I have also added
the virtual SQL server name and IP address to the /etc/hosts file on the master
and both media servers.
Any advice gratefully
received.
Steve.
