I try and group policies based on factors like:

Exchange Backups
Oracle
SQL
Windows
Linux
Vault

If its a standard file level type backup, then I group them together,
using the ALL LOCAL DRIVES directive.

For some servers, like clusters, this is not done, and a policy would be
configured for drives only needed to be backed up!

Pros and Cons each way. Some people may say client per policy, but I am
not fully conviced. Trying to keep things as simple as possible really.

We're discussing creating two policies to backup all of our
clients...one for all Windows servers and one for all Unix servers. I
think this would make administration much easier. Can any of you give
me the pros and cons of using only one policy?

Thanks,
B
