Going through a process of evaluating DR software for standalone Networks, and testing the BackupExec Sys Recovery suite.

Although the stand alone networks have no NetBackup, one of the clients has several NBU 5.x environments and are also looking at the same suite.

Question is: Should the BESR Suite be considered as an "Alternative" to NBU 6.x? Would there be a need for BESR as well as NetBackup 6.x on the same Network?

As I understand it, the "BMR" feature is part of the 6.x suite. So if they upgrade from 5.1 to 6.x they are going to get the features of 6.x plus BMR?

If anyone could clarify this, it would be appreciated.
