Re: [Veritas-bu] NBU 6.5.3 Master Media on Windows 2008 SP1 x86

I did some testing with Master/Media 6.5.3 on Windows 2008 x86 and things seem to be running fairly well except when I try to backup windows 2008 master server itself. I am seeing performance hit when I backup win 2008 master. I heard that this can be resolved by using certain exclusions for windows 2008 clients. I was able to find something for Backup Exec 12 but haven’t found anything for NB 6.5.3. I have tested exchange 2007 mailbox backups and they seem to be running fine. Hot catalog backups seem to be running fine. I will test Exchange 2007 information store and SQL 2005 database backup later today.

I'd have to check the compatibility list to be sure but I don't believe that a master server is supported on Windows 2008 yet.
