Hi all,

Have you found any solution to mysterious 150s?

We have started to experience it after upgrade of NBU from 5.1 to 6.5.1

Setup: 2 Solaris clustered, + 4 media servers

I would blame SUN cluster setup in this case:

Dec 16 07:43:31 cpxxx last message repeated 1 time

Dec 16 07:46:03 cpxxx [VRTS.scnb,scnb-harg,scnb-hars]: [ID 702911 daemon.error]  Failed to stop scnb using                                     the custom sto

p command; trying                                       SIGKILL now.

Dec 16 07:46:16 cpxxx vmd[6420]: [ID 617826 daemon.notice] ready for connections

Dec 16 07:46:22 cpxxx tldd[6552]: [ID 918256 daemon.notice] Device=2, TLD=xxx, DRIVE=1

Dec 16 07:46:22 cpxxx tldd[6552]: [ID 918321 daemon.notice] Device=3, TLD=xxx, DRIVE=2

Dec 16 07:46:22 cpxxx tldd[6552]: [ID 641763 daemon.notice] Device=0, TLD=xxx, DRIVE=1

Dec 16 07:46:22 cpxxx tldd[6552]: [ID 641828 daemon.notice] Device=1, TLD=xxx, DRIVE=2

Dec 16 07:46:22 cpxxx tldd[6552]: [ID 184918 daemon.notice] Device=4, TLD=xxx, DRIVE=1

Dec 16 07:46:22 cpxxx tldd[6552]: [ID 184983 daemon.notice] Device=5, TLD=xxx, DRIVE=2

Dec 16 07:46:22 cpxxx tldcd[7036]: [ID 617824 daemon.notice] Ready for connections

Info from Solaris: It is most likely the scnb_probe process (or its parent, the RPC process monitor), which has problems. Probably it needs a restart or the cluster resource properties need to be adjusted.

 cheers

Julian

Wow, that's odd. Are you sure no one is accidentally terminating streams? If someone in the activity monitor hits the wrong icon at the top...many 150's will follow.

I have seen an "odd" problem ... we had a stream of jobs terminate with status 150, at a time when no one was logged in and even using the system!

But a restart of the Services corrected this.

In all my years of doing NetBackup, I have only seen it twice. I have put it down to a possible blip / resource issue!

Hopefully, this may well have been the case on your side

Simon
