I don't understand what the "insert the tapes used for backup" part is
for.  Do you not trust the catalog to have the information you need, or
are you trying to verify the tapes by hand or something else?

This just came up recently, search back in the list archives a week or
so.  The basic idea is to find the images you're interested in with
'bpimagelist', then get the file list of that image via either 'bpflist'
or 'bpcatinfo'.
