Since it's NDMP, Netbackup will never attempt to understand the
filesystem.  That's under complete control of the NDMP host.

The question would be whether there's an app using the filesystem that
needs special backup handling (bascially turning the files into a
database).  And that would be a concern regardless of the underlying
filesystem.

Or for the OP, if you had to restore the volume holding the stub files
one day, would the archiving solution recognize them properly?
