Sounds fine to me - like I said, keep the config the same, its a
replacement of the harddware.

As long as NetBackup runs on the hardware (and it should), then
bprecover should be fine.

Any special patches or fixes will need to be reapplied I believe as this
is probably out of the scope of the software installation for NetBackup

A few more details:

All servers are running windows 2k3, reasonably up to date on patches.

Netbackup version 6.5.0 (with 1 engineering supplied patch).

1 master server, 3 media servers.  Ideally we'd keep the same name/ip of
the media server we're upgrading, but it's a forklift upgrade...
entirely new server.
