Is it possible that something else is running on port 4032? Leave VxSS offline, and run "netstat -an | grep 4032" to check. If you have lsof on the systems, you could also use that to determine what process has the port open. One simple check is "telnet ivxss 4032" (with VxSS offline), and if you connect to something, that's a problem (so in this test "connection refused" is the right answer).
A quick Google search did not turn up any likely Sun Cluster related services that normally run on that port, and 4032 is registered with IANA for the vrts-auth-service, it is but it is possible that something is running on that port.
The other possibility is some kind of firewall - software firewall, most likely (ipfilter, tcpwrapper, SunScreen?). If this was Linux, I would have you turn off "iptables" and try again. It is also remotely possible that there is a hardware firewall in the path, but I would consider that very unlikely unless these systems are not on the same IP subnet.
