The current 6.5 compatibility list, available at http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/278064.htm and last updated a month ago, does not list Ubuntu. I wouldn't be surprised if you could make it work with the right combination of package installs, but it won't be supported by Symantec.

Whether or not it will be supported in a future 6.5.x update, or ever, is something you'll have to ask your Symantec rep.
